I just finished brewing an IPA, the recipe says the OG should be 1.060. I hit 1.052, is this bad? Will being this far off effect my beer? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I don't understand a lot about hydrometer readings. TIA!!

I did correct my reading based on the temp.

Your beer won't be quite (really quite marginal) as potent as far as alcohol goes, but don't worry about it! There are lots of threads on here about hydrometers and how they measure potential alcohol, so look around a bit.

if it was a extract kit your volume was probably to much. Your beer will by fine just less ABV.
