Hydrometer reading confussion

Just got back from picking up the PBW and Starsan. I'm fortunate to have a Home Brew Supply store 1/2 mile from my home:

I bottled my Australian Lager and washed my bucket. I'll let this set until New Years. :mug:

Next week, I'll start my European Lager. I guess that one needs to age in the bottle for 3 - 6 months.....

BTW..... I bottled it after 16 days. Final hydrometer reading was 1.011 @ 70* (which was consistent throughout). I let the sample sit in the tube for about 6 hours before taking a final reading. I did check the hydrometer in distilled water and it was dead on 1.000.
