Well, paid memeber can host them here. Other wise, some people use photobucket.

Look. I'd love to support the site, but I am in a tight spot right now. I will when the time comes. This place has been very helpful and a great experience. So I'll do the life time thing at some point, but in the meantime...

There is also flikker etc. I hear good things about photobucket.

You upload to whatever free online storage you end up using then link the photo here with that icon that looks like a mountain.

I can host pics here. I prefer photo bucket because I can link them in other forums. I think there is a hot link block on the pics here even for the premium members. All of these are hosted in my gallery here.

What do you mean by "hot link block"?

In place of the photo you get some "no hot linking" pic. A hot link is stealing bandwidth using pics hosted by a site without permission.

Yes there is. The block will also render your pic unveiwable here on HBT after you hot link it.

That stuff is put in place on the server where the photo is hosted.

Are you saying HBT has the block on when linking from another forum? I didn't know that. Makes sense I guess, band width wise.

But I know for sure you can link from your gallery into a HBT thread.

If your going to use it other places there are plenty of free hosting sites. That is one reason I never ponyed up here.

Denny, If you try to link a HBT hosted pic to another site is when you get the "no hot linking". Linking to an HBT thread doesn't pose a problem.
