Good Sunday evening all. I was unable to get a good sample prior to adding priming sugar. Any idea how I go about figuring out how much the half cup of priming sugar added to the fg reading of 1.011? Thank you!

I never figured the priming sugar added any appreciable amount, but then I reduced the volume by a quart for trub loss and added the corn sugar used and it seems to add about 0.01-2% ABV or so depending on the amount of carbonation aimed for.

About the best you can do is use a brew calculator.

Take a sample and let it go flat? That's what I would try. Try to degas it somehow, if it sits too long it might evaporate and give you a false reading.
After it is finished carbonating.
