How much yeast for 5 gallons?

Hello, i've made several batches of beer, i always use a fresh pack of yeast for 5 gallons, and it always works great. Now im planning on washing and saving yeast ( and money). I've read how to wash yeast. But nobody says how much to add, cups? Ounces? Grams?. Can some one help me on this matter, thanks
 
For a normal sized beer, I find that I typically need ~90 ml of washed yeast, or the amount in two pint jars (assuming you're following the technique in the 'yeast washing illustrated' sticky). That's if I'm using the yeast within about 2 weeks. If longer, I would probably make a 1-liter starter with the yeast in one jar. The 'Repitching from Slurry' calculator at www.mrmalty.com can help you determine how much you need for your situation.

If I'm planning to use the yeast within 1 week, I'll often just collect 1 cup of yeast slurry (not washed) and pitch that. It depends on the gravity of the batch and how long you've kept the yeast around.

You can calculate it yourself with Mr. Malty, under repitching slurry.
 
Use the calculator at http://www.mrmalty.com or http://www.yeastcalc.com to figure out how much slurry you need to pitch. The one you choose will most likley depend on if you are doing stepped starters or not. yeastcalc does stepped starters while mrmalty doesn't. mrmalty allows you to choose the source of your yeast (liquid, dry, or slurry, which will affect how it calculates viability), while yeastcalc doesn't.
