How much water is boiled off?

Hi all,

If i were to make a tiny batch of beer, that is, one gallon, how much volume should my wort have before boiling? 1.5 gallons? 2 gallons? 2.5 gallons?

Every system is different.
Boil some water in the pot you will be using, and measure how much boils off in 1 hr. That's your number.

Or how much boils off in 15 and multiply by 4.
