So, I was sat drinkin' & thinkin'. . . I did some calculations. Over the last 30 years I estimate that I've consumed approx. 45000 beers/ciders.
I'm wondering a) is this a fairly normal amount amongst you good people here? And b) should I go see my doctor & get my liver checked?
I'm not worried, just wondering!

Are you talking 4 ounce glasses? You might be lagging behind. A yearly check up isn't a bad idea.

Not sure of 4 ounce glasses? I'm English, we're talking UK pints (568mls).
Yeah, check-ups are a good idea, but I like to live in 'blissful ignorance' with regard to my health.

Just over 4 pints per day... You got me beat by probably double, but I did not drink much beer before I started homebrewing 4 years ago.

But, no that doesn't seem like a huge excess. If you are due for a check up, go to the doctor. If you are concerned they can check liver function with a blood test.

Thanks, that's (kinda) reassuring.
Not really due a check-up, but I know it would make sense anyway.
