I'm splitting a batch of blonde ale. I'm going to bottle the first 2.5 gallons, then add some blackberry flavoring to the second 2.5 gallons, then bottle. I bought the flavoring from Midwest Brewing Company.

I have no idea how much to add. I would only like a hint of blackberry, not have it taste like a beer lollipop.

Thanks!

Personally, I would toss the flavoring and use real fruit. Flavoring just has a "fake" flavor that just bothers me.

Go out and buy a pound of fresh or frozen blackberries and add them to your fermentor. That's about all you should need to get a decent flavor in a blonde ale.
