I brewed another 10 gals of an Amber Ale yesterday. Nothing fancy 21 pounds pale malt, 8oz crystal of about 120L i'd guess, 3oz's Jarrylo hops for about 90 min...

Seems this thread has made up on some lost ground since last i brewed! We're well on our way to 10k now!

Didn't see this threat until now, so my total for 2018 so far...

American Amber, Belgian Pale, Citra IPA, Lavender Saison, Strawberry Blonde, Mocktoberfest, NEIPA, Black IPA, Chocolate Cherry Stout

9429 + 53 = 9482

I haven't been on this site for a while. Wow, what a difference.

I brewed 10 gallons of my favorite stout, but I didn't have any more US-05. So I used a packet of Mangrove Jack's Empire Ale - M15. I got this, and another Mangrove Jack's yeast at one of the beer event's I've attended in the last couple years. It expires next month. I typically do 10 gallon batches, and use two packs of US-05. I was afraid of trying a new yeast, one that will be expiring soon, and only one packet. I did a starter about 24 hours before pitching. I pitched about 6 pm yesterday. I went to check on it before cooking dinner, and had to clean the blowoff bucket. And the floor of the fermentation chamber...

Damn starters...
