What is the point of tracking a quarter gallon? It just makes the total perpetually uneven, hardly anyone tracks that accurately.
And your math is off by .5 gallons of you're keeping that silly .25 in the count. You took out an extra .5 for no reason

Burner collapsed when I turned on the water for the immersion chiller.
Poured 10 gallons out for the homies yesterday. It went away from where I was, thank goodness.

I don't think it can really be considered beer unless you get it to the pitching stage. I did the same thing about a month ago with an IPA, but it was only 6 gallons and already cooled. Really sucks!!!
