I have never used Gulo, and never tried a beer made with it. But I wanted to try it. So i pitched it in my blonde which I usually ferment with s-05. The blonde is my first use of this yeast and I haven't tried a sample yet.
I was starting to think of what to do with my next recipe... I figured I would harvest some of the Gulo and make a West Coast IPA. I'm curious if anyone has done one with Gulo. I was hoping for something sticky and piney with a dry finish. What are your experiences with it, and is it worth trying to do a West Coast? Will Gulo drop the FG too low or what that bottomed out 1.002-1.006 range the perfect ending for the IPA?
What are your thoughts and/or experiences?
Thanks!
