Made a Wyeast 3522 (Belgian Ardennes) 2 liter, 1040 starter 10 days ago. Then something came up and had to cancel brew day. So I stuck it in the fridge, like the Wyeast website suggested. May not get a chance to brew for another week or so. I'm new to starters. Any thoughts, comments, recommendations that will save it for a few more days?

It will keep for a while in the fridge so don't worry about that. Take it out a couple of days before brewing and decant the old beer off the top. Let it come up to room temp and throw it in a 1 qt starter. You could probably just decant and let it warm up and throw it in your beer if it hasn't been in the fridge more than a week or so.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I'll decant & add another liter. It was a pretty vigorous starter. The Wyeast website just said "refrigerate up to a week".

Okay. So it has been in the fridge for about ten days. Brew day tomorrow, I decanted, warmed & added another liter of 1.040 wort. Interesting- the starter was chilled after 30 hours. What I decanted today was 1.010. Looks lively to me. The new liter of wort already has about an inch of krausen. So, thanks for the advice and encouragement.
