how long does a starter last?

hi-
I was planning on brewing on friday, so I was going to prepare a starter tomorrow night. However, there's now a chance I might not be able to brew on friday, so I might have to move it to sunday. With football staring, and the other stuff i had planned for sun, I might not actually get to brew until next saturday. What should I do about the starter? Should I go ahead and make it tomorrow? With the yeast stay 'pitchable' until next sat?

I heard that the recommended time is 2-3 days before pitching, so you should be fine.

If you're really worried about it, just add some more DME and water a couple days before you brew.
