Any ideas on how to test the water that I'm brewing with? It's well water that hasn't been treated with anything, but we drink it all the time (and so do a bunch of dogs, cattle and horses). I just need to find out what minerals are in it so I can make adjustments, if necessary. Thanks for any help!

Check the website for your local waterworks. Some states require that they do an annual quality report and post the results. I know that mine lists the source (well, lake or river), hardness, contaminant levels, and "regulated substances" (chlorine, fluorine, nitrates, etc). The report for my area even lists the hardness in the winter vs. the summer.
