So I wanna fix this hot plate I have been using so that it can be used to make 1 gal batches again. Let it be known that I'm very new at tinkering with this stuff, but I'm interested in it.
So this hot plate is a pretty basic $20 Oster model from Sears (pictures at the end of the post) and after using it a few times successfully, the plate now shuts off after about 10 seconds and doesn't exceed a certain temperature. Is there a way I can fix this and disconnect the "safety setting," or is there a website someone could direct me to that would help me figure out how to do that?
