Hi all,
Just put a bigger IPA in the primary yesterday and I was beginning to think about ways of reusing the WLP001 yeast cake that will be left when I move it to the secondary in a couple of weeks.
One thing that came to mind was a longer aging beer, and I started thinking about doing up an American-style Barley Wine as that would pair well with the yeast.
Now, question, I really like resiny flavours in my beers, Short's Huma Lupa is probably my favourite IPA (for those who live in their limited distribution range). If I'm building a Barley Wine with a SG of 1.080 or so, how much Horizon would I have to use to get a decent resin bomb flavour? 2 ounces for 60?
