I have never dry hopped until yesterday.
Unfortunately, I didn't weigh the hop bag
down. Now the bag o' hops just floats at
the top of the carbouy. Will the oils still
exit the hops?

Shy of trying to get the bag out and dump
the hops into the beer, what should I do?

It's fine. The hops will moisten some. You could probably gently swirl it to make sure the hops in the middle are in contact with the beer.

I've only used a hops bag once, though, so take that FWIW! :D

I've never used a hop bag either but if you Just give the carboy a gentle rock to get things to slosh around a bit I would think you'd be fine.

I sanatized my big plastic spoon and gave it a
swish. This should help a bit. Hookin' it out
will be a PITA, I can barely get it to the center
of the carbouy.

Thanks!!!
