A newbe here and my first post. Have my second batch of brew in the fermenter. Trying a Honey Wheat this time with liquid yeast and added 4 oz lactose in the last 5 minuets of the boil. My questions are if the lactose is non-fermenting how will it affect the specific gravity and my potential alcohol readings? My OG was 1.048 it has been in the fermenter now for 8 days ,at 70 deg, with the airlock rocking and the SG still dropping now at 1.008. Is this correct and am I doing OK?

Sounds like you're doing good...4 oz. of lactose won't have much effect on your OG, it'll just add a little sweetness to the finished brew.

Thanks, it is taking longer than the first batch so I was worried. I do not have a secondary so I think I will just let it set for another week.
