I'm going to be brewing a Honey Cream Ale tomorrow and I wanted a critique of my recipe. Basically I just took the ingredients of a cream ale kit and added honey and honey malt.
Note: I will be brewing a 2.5 Gallon batch
3.3 lbs. Briess Golden LME
1/4 lbs. Honey Malt
1/4 lbs. Cara-pils
1/4 lbs. Honey (in Primary after a few days of fermentation)
1/2 oz. Cascade @ 60
1/2 oz. Cascade @ 2
My main questions are about the amounts of honey malt and honey. Is that too much honey malt and too little honey? Anything else I missed? I'm just looking for a nice, accessible beer with a bit of honey sweetness, not a honey-bomb or anything like that.
