If I can have a dime for every time I read that we need homebrewing research because papers published in journals are tailored to commercial/ pro brewing...
If there is a Homebrewing myth, this is probably the biggest one!
Did you know that almost all brewing research is done using homebrew-like setups, largest setups being pilot systems?
This of course makes sense... Who would use 100 barrel systems to make two or more experimental treatments?
Don't believe me... Look it up.
If anyone could ask whether published research applies to them, it's pro-brewing
Hope this good news to many. You don't need to re-invent the wheel. If you are an advanced homebrewer, the question you have has probably been asked 50, 25, 10 or 5 years ago.
