I'm looking for a Homebrewer from Evansville Indiana. I was there recently and ate at Turoni's and drank their Blue Eyed Moose IPA and absolutely fell in love with it. I'm trying to see if anyone out there has come up with a promising clone. I'm somewhat new to homebrew and wouldn't know where to start on how to clone this fantastic orgasim my taste buds had with every sip.

You are in luck, I have the recipe from Turoni's, it may take me a few to find it, but I'll post back. I love the BlueEyed Moose.

My wife's uncle and I are only a few years apart in age and we both enjoy craft beer. He is a truck driver near Indy and gets called in to run a route in Evansville every now and then and during one of those events he stayed there for a couple of nights and found Turoni's. So he's in there sending me pictures and tasting notes from the bar and going on about this Blue Eyed Moose so I asked him to bring a growler to our campsite on the Ohio River that weekend and he showed up with two of them. That is a tasty IPA, we both really enjoyed it. So the next time he was down there on a run(just a few weeks ago) he stopped in Turoni's again and now he's messing with me sending me pictures of the Moose and laughing it up that he's having some and I wasn't. I sent him a message and asked him to ask the bar tender if they would share the recipe and this ladies and gentlemen is what they provided me with. I have not tried it yet, let us know how it turns out if you do it. Enjoy.

Ohhh this is awesome. I will have to try this sometime soon.

Hoosier, it's pretty cool that you have that recipe. This site never ceases to amaze me. I'll have to brew it up myself!

I thought it was pretty cool that they sent me that link when I asked about it. I was amazed that someone asked about it and I had it. I have the ingredients in my LHBS shopping cart, but I'm lacking in equipment for an all grain brew until I get my bonus next Month. It turned out to be just under $30 before tax for all grain, yeast included.

I haven't yet, I recently discovered Tuxedo Park Brewers and they are just a bit off my normal route home, GF is farther up north where I prefer not to travel. I was buying from AHS and NB before and still will to some degree I'm sure, but when I can walk into Tuxedo and get a similar beer kit fresh ground for $20-$35 with the yeast and priming sugar and no shipping that is nice. Is there anything in Seymour? I haven't been down that way in a while, one of my favorite gun stores is down there, Acme, good people.

I hadn't heard of Tuxedo Park. I'll have to check it out sometime! That may be a little closer should I have to drive there than GF. GF is literally a couple blocks from the company I work for Indy's office, but I hardly ever have to go there. There is nothing homebrew related in Seymour.

Acme's a nice place, my dad owned a gun shop down here for 30 years until recently selling it.
