This is a pretty crappy poem.
Doesn't read easily or really rhyme.
But a picture of my heart at this current time.
Today is my birthday (4/21/1964)
I'm getting pretty old
Not as good looking as before and my stomach is getting quite bold
My wife is in Hawaii waiting for me there
Sometimes she thinks that I don't even care
But I do sure miss her and miss the good times
And not being with her does sure make me sad a lot of the time
It's just not that easy to pick up my chair
And move to Paradise where life is awaiting me there
So I'll keep on trucking throughout the days
But got to admit, it's much in a haze
My bride and me will be back together soon
If I had it my way, it'd be tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you my friend! My wife Janice and I will get back together I know. It's a long story why we are apart. Plans didn't work out like we thought they would.

Thank you for your kind words.

Dan

My husbands the brew pro,
who hangs out with the bros,
Who brews all day,
When he was supposed to mow.

He's very canny and funny,
Sometimes a loner and can be wierd,
Thank goodness he doesn't wear a bierd,
Who always bring home the money,
and sincere when it comes to being my honey.

How do we stop this madness of peoms and rhyming,
When we all dig deep to create this harmonizing.
Danny, you see what you started,
We all can't get enough of this rhyming.

I love it!

Thats great my girl! Going on the wall

Howdy Dan!
You da' man!
I'm sore from ripping out wood floor.
Drank a bunch of homebrew like any good German boy would.
Now I feel good!
Cheers!
I hope you're drinking a few beers!

Hey there my good friend Mike!
It's great to see you on here tonight!
I was pursusing some old threads
Could have cleaned up my garage instead.
But this was much better you see
Time for us to drink a few homebrews, you and me.
I really like this this old one
It took off fast and was a lot of fun.
Best of wishes to you my brother
I already have two but consider you another..

Shameless bump.

I haven't added anything new except adding some older stuff to the first page. Feel free to get creative and have some rhyming fun. :mug:

For it some of them went to college
But we still think they are wussies
They think they hold all the knowledge
But we get all the *redacted*

Iambeer M Beer
had ales
that were pale
and sang to a small
guitar.

They gave him a coaster
with a frostin of lager
...for drink
he need not
look far.

He wondered
if singers
would turn
into drinkers
or if it's
the other way 'round.

To the notice
he cheered
"it's a
new round of beer
on the house," why there's
no sweeter sound.

And now that he's
drank too much it's time
to crash this poor
rhyme which had no lasting
chance.

Some good, some better.
All are inspirational...
Invigorating this 10 year old thread.
So, here goes:

Let's be real clear.
I'm out of beer.
I've got one that's near,
But it's not very clear.
So why should I fear,
Tastes great and it's dear.
Three weeks is a year
Without any beer!

Here's what we are up against...
Edgar Allen Poe, Lines on Ale...

Filled with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain.
Quaintest thoughts, queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away.
What care I how time advances;
I am drinking ale today.
