Batch #10 of Flora? Last one was #7. Batch #8 should be coming late winter/early spring according to Shaun in August. Said he had some trouble with it in the past, hence why it disappeared for a few years, but finally dialed it in and hopes to make it a yearly release.
Makes sens3. Thought b6 was not up to par at release, but b7 was straight fire.

Wow hope so!

Really? Had no idea.

I certainly hope you’re right on Flora b8 coming so soon though.

Random HF thought: I wonder what happened to the bottles from the “HF residency” last year. I had heard that when Tim from sante was there they made ~5ish beers (could be entirely wrong obviously), but have we seen any of them released?
If anything Sante related had hit since then you would know ;)

Also, good question, what's up with the whole residency program?

From a podcast with Shaun, apparently the residency with Tim Clifford went so well that he almost doesn't want to do it again. From same podcast, I believe Shaun said they brewed around 5 beers of different style. Would love to see more guys taking on this residency idea, almost like an arthouse type deal.

Speaking of unreleased beers, has anyone heard of this year’s Vera? We are well passed the traditional release weekend with no word... so maybe it’s not going to be? Unless I missed an announcement...

They did confirm it was "coming soon" but that was back in August

I'm still waiting for the second Cigar City collab from 2015. The one that was coolshipped.

I believe the answer when someone asked if Vera was to be released was "eventually!" or something along those lines...my guess would be extended barrel aging.......but that would also be my guess for all of the beers from the SARA residency so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Spot on

I'd imagine most of the beers from the residency will need around a year+ in barrels and time for bottle conditioning... eagerly awaiting their release :)

Seems like they have been conditioning a lot of newer bottles for a long time.

That Tired Hands brew session was a couple months before SARA and there was just a new release from that. I'd imagine something is coming out soon. Hard to say without knowing what they even brewed.

Good day at the farm today. Very quiet, but enjoyed a CD Pear and a BoT ‘16. The CD Pear is special. That fruit works so well with the base Anna - slightly tart, but more just a huge dose of pear. Loved it.

BoT ‘16 is good. The honey is prominent; coffee has mostly faded. Barrel there and present and carb seems to have increased. Great beer.

All this said I think Shirley Mae on nitro was my favorite beer today.

On Weds., November 8, we will release Aaron!

Aaron is our barleywine-style ale aged in bourbon barrels. Aaron A. Hill (1785 - 1869) was our great-great-great grandfather who operated the original tavern in North Greensboro—an industrious, inventive and indomitable figure in the community. The Hill Farmstead Brewery logo is based upon that tavern's original sign.

In his honor, we crafted this barleywine, which has rested, unhurriedly and undisturbed, for over 2 years in bourbon barrels from some of our favorite distilleries, absorbing the essence of its surroundings and history.

Please visit our bottle release page on Sunday, Weds., Nov. 5, after noon, http://hillfarmstead.com/bottle-release, for bottle limits and pricing information (credit card and matching ID required, please see our bottle release policy).
