How about the firing itself?

Remember when HF posted something accompanying an Art release about all future Arthur undergoing the same process the Art batch being released went through? Did I fabricate this memory?
Yes, Art was going to be a single barrel expression. No idea what happened

If I remember correctly, the post you're referring to was made back in 2012, after they received a shipment of puncheons. It stated that going forward a greater portion their saisons would spent sometime in oak.

Whatever I'm thinking of was way more recently

I believe I remember this. It was b2 Art that just spent some time in barrels, and wasn't done like the newer Arts. That came out in 2012, and they posted about getting all those puncheons and saying Arthur would be like that version of Art because it'd be spending some time in the puncheons. Iirc anyway. Not sure when that stopped, but I imagine it must've considering there is a separate Arthur Puncheon now.

Is there a full HF bottle log anywhere? I'm trying to figure out if the Art I had way back was b1 or b2.

Art B1 had the old gold caps. Not sure if that helps.

The saisons transitioned from seeing time in puncheons to foudres in 2014.

Due to the drastic difference in surface area/oak contact (in addition to different levels of micro-oxygenation) of wine barrels to puncheon to foudre, it makes sense to differentiate the liquids, brandwise.

Yeah for sure, I just didn't know when they went to foudres from puncheons. I'm glad I stockpiled saisons back in the day. Unfortunately all out now.

Finishing lunch at Lost Nation now and headed up. I did my CW pickup Tuesday, but I've been skiing Stowe the last two days, am already more than half way there, so why not go back for more.

Second trip to VT for me and it's been phenomenal. The skiing the last two days has been about as good as it gets - waist deep, super light powder in spots. The beer is pretty good too.

Anyway, if anyone is around this afternoon, I'm down to split some bottles.

Jealous of skiing Stowe the past 2 days. So pissed I can't get north this weekend.

12/15 BA Everett. Man I love this beer, at least this bottling - did have one strange experience with the previous batch.

This had been in the fridge a while and finally broke down and cracked it. Barrel has died down a good deal and this is just liquid fudge and butterscotch. New batch soon please? Think I'm all out...

Thanks for this. Found one last bottle when I was checking the stash earlier this week. Might have to crack it soon.
