We are mostly in to vegetable farming and some grains, but here lately my aged back isn't cooperating with hand harvesting barley. So i need to get a cash crop. I Give away so much fresh vegetables to food pantries my profit for improving equipment just isn't there anymore. Thankfully i own my land free and clear and have hundreds of cedar trees for poles/posts and miles of stainless wire and cable i bought years ago for building vineyard trellis so i'm kind of ahead a bit on that. I Just need to raise the funds to clear more land (13 acres) to set up the hops and raise vegeatables in the understory rows. We have a "Go fund me" web page but it's not doing to good so far.

I Have a logger coming in here shortly to begin clearing 13 acres, but we are waiting for some deep snow to melt off so the skidder can get around. We have 9 foot deep snow in many areas. He has agreed to cut down everything leaving the cedar trees for me for poles in exchange for taking all the firewood grade trees for his efforts. Then i'm working on a grant to have a bulldozer come in and pop up the stumps and pile them in rows with the limbs etc in Hugelkultur type rows instead of burning.burying them. Then the fun will begin.
