Recently started homebrewing with mead and I've been enjoying the hobby and all I've been learning. Read some (very) old threads from here to influence where I'm taking some of my next batches : ) I've been into mead for a little while, mostly thanks to the nearby Viking Alchemist Meadery because I enjoyed going to their taproom occasionally to chat and try a bunch of flavors they have on tap.

Welcome to the madness we call a hobby. You are on a slippery slope into the world of homebrewing from which there is no return. The more you learn the more you brew. The more you brew the more you spend on equipment. The more equipment you acquire the more you enjoy brewing. So button up buttercup you are in for one heck of a ride. Enjoy your journey. Prost:

Welcome to the forum from NY. Following a small batch of sauerkraut (my first adventure into fermentation) I made a couple gallons of mead. Though I had always wanted to brew beer mead was the natural next step. I have some honeysuckle mead finishing up right now. Enjoy yourself.
