I just joined the forums and I thought I'd say hi. I'm a grad student in NY, and I'm doing some research into cider brewing, with an eye towards ordering my brewing hardware later this month.
I'm a complete newb to the world of homebrewing, but I'm hoping to have my first batch of hard cider aged and ready to enjoy by the end of the Spring semester.
So... Yeah, if you have any ultra-beginner tips on cider, particularly the kind of equipment to buy, I'd appreciate it.
Also, if you live in Queens and/or know of any good local brewing stores or suppliers, let me know!
