I just bought two used kegs. Previous owner said they don't hold pressure around the lids. Trying to determine which kegs these are to get the right o-rings. I figured I'd get everything new.
First one I think I know. It seems to be Firestone Challenger. The beer dip tube is much wider than my other kegs. The beer dip tube o-ring fits inside the threads instead of on top. And each post had a plastic spacer (this is what made me realize it was a Challenger). The gas dip tube is also plastic and it sits inside the threaded post. And a race track style lid.
The other one I'm not really sure. It says John Wood Co on it but nothing else. The gas and beer threads are different sizes. The gas threads are much smaller than any other keg I've seen. The gas dip tube is 1/4" wide. The o-ring seems to go around a little nipple on the top of the threads. It seems like John Wood 85 kegs also have the plastic spacers but this keg doesn't have those. The lid is a race track style lid as well. Edit: looking at both kegs, this odd one isn't as straight as the other Challenger lid opening. This one isn't as rounded as a normal cornelius style but isn't as straight as the race track style.
Any idea on what kind of keg this is?
