I want to make a strawberry blond ale and since that blond is so good I wanted to use that as a base. I thought that that hops might be a bit much for the berries though. I was thinking about dropping the cascade additions completely and adding maybe 3-5 lb of berries in the secondary. Any suggestions?

Are you talking about the centennial blonde?

I did a blonde ale a year ago or so.......was something like

7lb 2row
.5lb crystal 10
.5lb wheat malt

galena (60min)*
cascade (15min)*

*I don't remember the amounts but I hopped it to maybe 30IBU??

I used 1lb frozen strawberrys for every gallon. SWMBO has been bugging me to make it again so......it must have been good :D

I don't know about dropping all the hops, maybe just the aroma hops at the end. 3-5 lb of berries should be fine. Get the frozen kind as they will be more broken down and will allow the beer to soak up more of the flavor.
