I am in the process of brewing the Alaskan Amber clone from North American Clone Brews, and it is obvious that it will not be amber in any way. I could tell this while I was sparging, so I decided to play with the recipe a little and add some first wort hops.

I am sitting here watching the boil, and it occurred to me that, since this will be fairly light bodied, and I have already deviated from the recipe, it might be a good one to add some fruit or something. This will be in the secondary, since I am about to put it in the primary in 1/2 hour. If it was too sugary, I would even be willing to repitch and add to the primary in a week or so.

Any ideas or suggestions.

Oops, thats what I get for doing this in the middle of brewing here it is:

8 lbs 2 row
1 1/2 pounds Munich
1 oz Tettenang Bittering
1 oz Saaz at 15 mins

It was pretty obvious from the start that this would not be very amber, but I thought I would give it a try. I added 1 oz Fuggles as first wort hops, but that is about it.
