Welcome aboard!

We have more than a few folks from across the water! So sit back, grab a brew, relax and enjoy!

because i made ale twice and they were both undrinkable,

i made larger once so far an it wasnt too bad (bit yeasty tho)

maybe its cuz i made larger after the two ales and so had a little bit more experience??

i dno, it just seems easier to get right, and so im brewin another larger to see if its as good as the first :)

how come you havnt tried making larger?

Seems it would be harder for me, because from what I understand, a lager needs cooler temperatures to ferment. I don't have extra refrigerators.

I just brewed the larger normally.. i never bother with heat control..

you can definitely get some good results brewing with a larger yeast at "room" temperatures. you are, in fact, making a Steam Beer!

Just last month I toured one of the (few) remaining Steam Beer producers (in the States, at least) out in San Francisco - Anchor Steam - one of the originals. It's an old style of beer that came the the US's west coast from what I know. Great stuff!

Welcome and happy brewing!
