Hi All,
I'm in Dar es Salaam Tanzania and have been home brewing in Mtwara for the last 4 years. I have stuck to extracts generally, and have dabbled in mead making with local honeys as well as several ciders.
I'm trying to sort out my supply chain for grains, maybe up from south Africa, and there are a few other brewers who get deliveries through their work, who might be able to help a brother brewer out. Till then it is extracts that I get friends to bring over in luggage!

Welcome to the forum, from Minnesota!

I think many of us (myself included) will be very interested to see how you manage to get supplies and gear. Keep us posted on your brewing ventures!

Welcome from Malawi! Nice to see someone else in the region. I've met a few home-brewers in Zambia and Moz as well. In Malawi, we are generally able to get supplies up from SA, though probably a bit easier than you can from Tanzania. Also, those attached to embassies here can often bring in the grains through their mail services.

Happy Brewing!

Very cool! Welcome to HBT.

I know some people who run a school in Tanzania. The Knepper's. Very cool family.

Welcome from Minnesota. I spent some time in the Iringa region of Tanzania in Oct. 2016. It's a wonderful country. Please do keep us posted, it will be interesting to hear how it all works out.
