Hello from Southern Illinois - St Louis metro east area actually.

I love drinking beer and have probably drank enough of what I used to think was good beer to float a battleship. This past summer my kids gave me some Boulevard beers for Father’s Day and my idea of what good beer is changed forever.

It wasn’t long before I became interested in the brewing process and about 3 months ago started brewing with extract kits and I was hooked. I don’t think I have ever been so obsessed with a hobby in my life.

A while back I found HBT and joined but never did get around to posting till now. There is such a wealth of information here and all of the members more than willing to help others. This is a great place and I look forward to being a member for a very long time.

That's not far away at all. I grew up in the big city of Carpenter and used to run around in the Alton area but these days I only get that way for a visit to Fast Eddies once in a while.

That sounds good. Actually I work in Highland. Have for 37 years now. Man, could I really be that old?
