Hello from San Diego, CA!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to say awesome site! I've lurked for a few weeks and brewed my first batch (Brew Organic's Nut Brown Ale) last night. It's sitting in the bathtub in my rarely used guest bathroom which seems to have the most consistent temperature in the house at this time of year (65-70). Can't wait to start the second batch (Pike's IPA from Midwest). I think I've caught the bug already! :cross:

welcome cally-fornian! i got worried when i saw "its in the the bathtub" then i saw that the fermenter is in there. phew. good luck. took my first two batches i ironed out the "kinks".

LOL! I used to go to a restaurant in Tijuana where the owner made teqila in the bathtub. Some of the smoothest tequila I've had. Not quite Patron but better than most!!!

Greetings and welcome to the obsession. Been heading your way every summer for a few decades but it wasn't until this year that I discovered all of the great breweries in the SD area. Good times and great beer!

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah, we've got a few excellent breweries in SD. Stone, Karl Strauss, Ballast Point, Coronado Brewing Co. Even Oggi's, a local pizza/brewery place has some great beer (try their Left Coast Hop Juice next time you're out).
