Hello,

My husband and I have only been home brewing since last fall when we started on "Project Christmas Homebrew." We have 7 completed brews under our belt and are working on 8 and 9 right now. Admittedly this was his baby...he's the beer lover in the family...until I started reading his Papazian book and wanted in on the fun. I have developed this theory...people who homebrew are either Reinheitsgebots (who put only pure "beer" ingredients in their brew) or Heretics (who say "Oh, look what I found in the grocery store...wonder what that would be like in beer?). He is a Reinheitsgebot and I am a Heretic! I also refer to us as Mr. Hoppy and Ms. Malty. Regardless, we've had fun experimenting and researching and sampling so far and are excited to learn more. I am sure I'll have lots of questions for you experts!

Welcome Bluidshay.. Good to see you got right into it since the fall...:mug:
Happy brewing...:)

Welcome Ms. Malty...

I too have a theory... Brewing beer is the 'gateway drug' of fermenting... Often leading to bigger things, like making mead and wine... Or even the black art of distillation...

Personally, I've already gone to stage 2 (mead)... Not sure if I'll go further down the path into darkness (mmmmm darkness) but it will be an interesting journey all the same... :D

Oh, and welcome to HBT... I think we need to get enough people together to form a truly great brewery and push SA into the harba... ;)
