Hi There,

I'm a relatively new and inexperienced brewer who lives in Bangalore, India.

Home brewing is a relatively unknown thing here in India so I have (gladly) resorted to brewing cider as apples and sugar are readily available here.

Unfortunately my equipment is a bit thrown together as it's expensive to get all the good stuff shipped over so here's what I have to work with:

FERMENTER: 5 gal plastic fermenter
AIRLOCK: single piece bubble style
FERMENTING CHAMBER: Small wine fridge that keeps my cider at 65-70F
SYHPON: Manual Syphon

I plan on getting some better equipment soon but for the time being this is all I got!

Anyways, enough of my sob story! I'm excited to be a part of this forum and I hope to garner enough knowledge to make what I have work!!

Cheers

I was brewing beer, but my equipment was no different for my first 10-15 batches back in 1993. Add 2.5 gal enameled pot, a second bucket and a wing style capper and you have my entire brewery until I jumped to all grain.

Actually, you have a wine cooler for fermentation temperature control....you are a step ahead!

I'm still just starting out so I don't think I need to be buying anything at the moment until I figure out exactly what I'm doing, but it's nice to know that there are others in the same boat as me!
