So I got a True Brew 5 gallon fermentation kit for Christmas (just what I asked for) and got started brewing that following Friday. Long story short, I've been hooked ever since. Living in Seattle, I am fortunate to have a ton of homebrew Supply stores within a stones throw of my place.
My first brew was a partial-mash robust porter, which already came and went (and boy was it delicious). I felt like I made few mistakes here and there with that brew and every brew since then. Whenever I feel like I screwed something up, I google it, and it always leads me here. So I signed up tonight to say thank you all for the tremendous wealth of knowledge and expertise that helps newbies like myself get further acquainted with the craft, and enjoy it!
Right now I have a Belgian Dubbel I am about to bottle this week, which is my 2nd 5 gallon batch, and I have just started experimenting with my own recipes by doing all-grain 1 gallon batches. I couldn't have made it this far with out this forum.
Thanks again guys, and Happy Brewing!
