Hello everyone!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to officially introduce myself. I made a previous post asking for suggestions and opinions. This received some decent feedback and I was so grateful and felt so welcomed I decided to take this more serious and properly introduce myself!

I look forward to learning and growing in my brewing journey with the wonderful community of experienced and helpful individuals here. I'm only 16 hours into my Christmas Mr. Beer present ferment and already wanting new gear and gadgets! I have never brewed before so all of this is really exciting, so please excuse my ignorance and weird happiness over the smallest things.

Awesome my father was on the USS Cleveland just after Vietnam! He used to tell me stories about the ceremony! I recently had to hunt down a duplicate copy of his certificate luckily enough the captain's logs for his ship I found mentioned the day and time of their crossing! Appreciate your service!

Exactly one week into fermentation and I can no longer see any tiny bubbles floating up anymore. It smells like beer and seems to be clearing up! No hydrometer so I'm forced to wait for the full three weeks recommended just to be safe. Has anyone else had experience with Mr.Beer finishing up in under 3 weeks?
