Hi All,

Yesterday I hooked up the digital Johnson controls thermostat to a heat wrap and put the temp probe into the thermowell (they all come as a set online). I set my set point at 66*F, a few degrees above ambient. I set the differential at 1*F. This morning, the thing was reading 88*F. I wanted to hear to 66, not 88.

What gives?!?! Anybody know how I can fix this?

And would 12 hours of that much heat ruin a batch that is over 80% attenuated already? (Primary strain = WLP 007; Secondary = Danstar Belle Saison)

The A419 is a single-stage controller that can be set for Cooling mode or Heating mode.
My guess is yours is still set for Cooling mode.

I prefer Heating/Cut-Out as it makes more sense to me to have the Set Point reflect the desired temperature and use the Differential below that temperature...

Cheers!
