Hi everyone, I just started my very first batch of Cider. I used a large 6.5 gallon Northern Brewer fermentation bucket for a small 1 gallon cider batch. My question is because there is so much headspace for my cider, about 5.5 Gallons of headspace, will the cider be negatively affected by oxygen/ oxygenated?

I had the same issue in the beginning, @CatsCradle. My Cider didn't turn out bad or spoiled, but I would recommend transferring to a smaller bucket, definitely.

I have this problem now after transferring from fermenter to carboy.
I plan to just go buy more applejuice from aldi's and fill it up.
I got time to let the half gallon or so to ferment out.
