I just got an email from Northern Brewer offering a free DVD with an order of a 2000ml flask yeast starter kit. I was just thinking how awesome it would be if somehow the DVD was this.

Lol imagine all the people that would freak out, go buy lotion and star brewing with their shirts off.

If that was the video that taught me how to make a yeast starter, i'd never make a starter. I'd actually stop brewing. That dude creeps me out

Doing a little background search on the guy, it's not hard to find out that he's actually got Asperger's Syndrome - which is on the autism spectrum. Brewing beer apparently was one of the things he focused heavily on. Now, it's precious metals. I thought at first the same way a lot of you did, but now it sorta makes sense.

Eccentric? Annoying? Yes, but I would recommend everyone do some research on Aspergers. It's a developmental disorder that most likely even prevents him from realizing how he comes across to normally-functioning adults.

So everyone with aspergers is a derisive a-hole?? Wow, thanks for the tip, doc.

If you have the inability to actually learn up about something you clearly know nothing about, and want to assume you know everything - have at it.

Seems that makes you no less a 'derisive a-hole' than TSA.

If you're trying to champion some sympathy for the guy based on a possible mental disorder, it's not happening. It's clear that he has a mental disorder, and it doesn't change anything. Shoot, most of us do too.

You're absolutely right. We shouldn't try to make sense of why someone acts in such a way. We should just "kick his ass" like some have suggested.

One more thought... Remember not to "champion some sympathy" when you have a child born with autism or some other disorder, because Lord knows they can help it. Remember, like you said, it doesn't change anything. They should be expected to function perfectly like you.

C'mon guys, lighten up. Keep up this rhetoric and the mods will be stepping in.

Understanding where someone cames from, or understanding what makes them act one way or another, or make an effort to feel some empathy for someone that it´s clearly different than me doesn´t making him rigth or innocent of being a *********. I understand that we have to be able to get in someone else´s shoes and see things from a different angle. I´ve done that... doesn´t change the fact that he is an idiot anddoesn´t change my feelings toward that kind of people. Mentally ill or not... that doesn´t change things for me.

Unless Asbergers made it impossible to distinguish between right and wrong (in which case I would suggest institutionalization) then I'm of the "yeah, dont care" camp.

Like I said before, if he was just weird and annoying I'd have some sympathy. The guy is a frigging Holocaust denier, and an ADULT with access to... oh... books... and should know better.

I have ran into this guy before he was takesomeadvice. He dosnt have aspergers.
He is just a professional troll. Before youtube he haunted forums, and got banned from most for posting to politically [about the illuminati and how liberals where playing there hand, no I'm not joking] ,he went by mikedavid00. He had his first youtube channel until he posted denying the holocaust, and how it was a jewish plot that some how tied into the illuminati. Then he jumped a few more channels and became TSA. He started a war with craigtube after craig tried to help him with a coopers kit [he was getting cidery flavors and didnt know why, later found out he fermented in uncontroled temps]. He then quit using his channel. he popped up again as dietandrecipies, and now whatever he goes by these days.

Dont mistake his seeming obsessions for a mental disorder this guy just likes to rock the boat and get attention. Saying he as aspergers is just another ploy, I have 3 regular customers at my store that DO have aspergers, along with my twin sons brother. He is far from what they suffer through.
I have a hate for him because he is plain and simple a **** stirrer and a bully. Picking on a old and kind man like craig [hes a nice guy dispite maybe not being the most knowledgeable at his hobby]. Thats why I would like to see him in a dark alley.

Oh heaven forbid, he denies the holocaust! My God we must all worship the memory of the holocaust.

Very intelligent and credentialed people have questioned facts surrounding the holocaust, and it's the "frigging holocaust denier" mentality that prevents scientific and other facts from seeing the light of day. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in his camp of full-on denial. But for anything that can't simply be QUESTIONED in many countries without imprisonment shows there's something being hidden.

Off topic, so I'm sure this post will be deleted. I'm a holocaust questioner, so I assume I will be banned as well.

My last post anyway.

I AM NOT a holocaust denier, but do believe its only logical to question everything your told.

The fact that you can still go and stand in the ruins of dachau and othe camps and even smell the sickening sweet smell of chared flesh where the crematories where.. dosnt really leave to much of a doubt in my mind.

with or without denying the holocaust he still just wants to rock the boat... if he gets near my boat say a prayer for him

Also in before the lock

leader of the sack

and im stoping there i dont wanna be banned.. then what would i do when im supposed to be working
