Harvesting Yeast

I bought a wyeast american wheat that i want to harvest in order to use again. Anyone have luck harvesting yeast and making a starter from the trub after racking. I just rather do it while I have my bucket of sanitizer and kitchen prepped then getting it off the krausen and risking contamination?

You can wash it and save it, it works great. If you are goign to brew the same day or in a couple of days, you can just grab some from the fermenter and use it. I do that often.

I have an Irish Red that I am kegging on Saturday and brewing a stout the same day, so I am planning on just grabbing some yeast from the fermenter.
