Hi,
I'm about to make my first batch of cider and I have a question regarding the yeast & yeast nutrient element of the recipe.
The recipe says 5gallons of juice, 1 packet of yeast and 1 tablespoon of yeast nutrient, 10 lbs sugar, etc.
I only have a 2-gallon vessel, should I use less yeast and yeast nutrient? It seems obvious to use less sugar, but I am unsure if I should for yeast or simply chuck it in as the recipe indicates.
I would really appreciate a quick reply as I hope to start this in a few hours.
