The Home Depot guys just showed up and moved out my old chest freezer that died a few weeks ago. They came, and to move it out, just cut the door cable. Oh the agony! It felt like my own arm. It will be better I tell myself. The old one was about 8 years old and needed replacement. On to more great beer!

Sad day..... let's all have a moment of silence for our fallen brothers....

I said goodbye to my keezer a few months ago. It's alright, though, because now it's a hop freezer with over 100lbs of hops in it. Totally worth the trade.

How long will it take you to use 100 lbs of hops? You'll be making beer long after the zombies attack I would hope.

8 years old doesn't seem very old. Sucks it died. After mine dies, I plan to get a refrigerator and use the freezer compartment for hops. No temp controller needed, dual purpose - win, win.
