Hello. Can any 1 help me. I have just brought a new plastic fermenter and it seems to have a sticky glue type residue inside it. Probably from some type of sticker. The question is what can I use to remove this, without damaging the plastic or causing contamination.

I would send it back. Any kind of solvent is likely to leave some residue behind. The only thing comes to mind would be soaking in oxyclean, but not to long as it affects plastic. Acetone would do it but may melt the fermentor as well.

try vegetable oil. Will remove some adhesive residues. follow with the usual cleaning and sanitize procedure.
