New stem from local brewery Wren House (AZ). Same style as HF stem.

Damn, that is clean. I like that type of branding a lot better than anything with text. Any interest in doing a little swap for glass from somewhere local if these are easy to pick up? TreeHouse or my next HF Trip or something?

Should be able to work something out if they have some left. Shoot me a PM.

Stubs knew I wanted this glass and dropped it and some great cans on me for a label. Thanks Tlör! After he packed a whole case of 33cl for me as a GAPIFMB. I can't say my payback will be on par with this, but you know you have a box coming. Most likely even this year.

I'll just ask this here. What is the best soap to use to clean glasses between uses? I usually do a hot water rinse, but sometimes that is not enough. It might be due to the wonderful New Orleans tap water.

What is the best soap or washing solution to use?

I've been quite happy with the 7th Generation Unscented. I generally do a quick scrub and rinse the glass 2-3 times. I also have a 3M Scotch Brite sponge with a thin notch cut in it (for glass rims) and a Riedel microfiber polishing cloth, which may be overkill.

We use the same stuff, it's just our default dishsoap. I keep a separate sponge for just glassware, but don't always use it, it's not like our normal dish sponge is gross. I don't notice any issues, and no one has complained so far...

I clean by wetting the glass down with hot water, putting a dab of soap on it (if I'm cleaning up after a tasting I put the soap on my hands and then rub down each glass individually), scrub it with a sponge to spread the soap around and break up any grease, then rinse very thoroughly. I let it air dry, our water doesn't seem hard enough to leave much spotting, but if it were and I cared I'd hand-dry with a microfiber cloth.

+1 for hippy dishsoap working just fine with glasses. -1 for the sponge. I can't remember what glass it was, but I broke one with my hand trying to get the sponge down into the bottom of the glass and I have tiny little Trump hands. Stemware brushes are under $10 and well worth it IMO. Also have the Riedel cloth, because drunk + Amazon, but don't use it that often.

I usually don't bother scrubbing down into the glasses. Beer is water-soluble, it's oil that's not, and unless you're doing something really weird with your glassware you're not getting much oil down in there. The stuff you need to scrub is just along the lip, or maybe the body if you're a big slob drinking with greasy fingers.

No, there's a older version of the Handicup with different printing that I've been wanting for awhile. They're both ~20lbs of enameled cast iron though.

What's so handy about a 20 pound mug? ;)

I was going to say you can have mine if you wanted, it's just turding up my cupboard.
