Hey all,

Wanted to give a quick intro for anyone who will read it. I hail from Brunswick, OH, but currently reside in Brimfield, OH, just outside of Kent. I have been a beer lover for some time now after falling in love with Great Lakes beers, especially Christmas Ale and "The Heisman" (Dortmunder).

I literally just started to home brew. I was looking for a hobby and always thought it would be cool to brew my own beer, so I went out on Saturday morning to the local beer supply store and picked up a beer supply kit and an American Ale kit. I know have a fermenting pail sitting on my dining room table as I impatiently wait the 2-3 weeks to try my first batch. I'm already planning my second batch, a witbier similar to Wittekerke. I may be getting too big for my britches this early while trying to do a witbier too early in my brewing days, but hey, its all in good fun right?

I work for McMaster-Carr Supply, which I am sure most of you are familiar with, as I see parts lists all over the forums. It's nice to be able to order any supplies I need while at work, check them physically to see if it is what I need, then bring it home.

I know that for the time being I will be asking questions and asking for help, but hope that sooner than later I am helping out others as well.

Paul

Welcome to HBT! I'm living near Canton, OH. What LHBS do you go to?

I love Great Lakes too. I just tried their Alchemy Hour double IPA they just released this month. I loved it. I also love their Commodore Perry.

Right now I have only been to Label Peelers in Tallmadge since they are the closest to where I am at. The Grape and Grainery is nearby as well in Cuyahoga Falls.
