Yet more evidence of my advancing age. I'm 34, and I just had to make the font bigger on the beer advocate site.

Here we go...

I'm 55. So you're telling me this is something I have to look forward to??? :D

I can still lift 2 batches of beer or full cornies (one with each hand) to shoulder height at the same time...and I haven't worked out in over 20 years...;)

Plus I had a heart attack in 1997. :mug:

I'm 30, but I want to be 70, have a big belly, a long white beard, and feel proud of having survived that long.

OK, rethinking all my goals now after reading homebrewer99's post.

1) Be sure to not exercise
2) Work toward getting a heart attack
3) Brew beer
4) Lift heavy beer containers
5) Make younger folks like us look like wimps

:D

... hey homebrewer, I've known people who've died from heart attacks so I'm glad you're still going strong.

But yep, OP, I understand. Hard to focus eyes on things sometimes.

Well, thanks for caring. :mug: I know many people do die having their first one. I actually had the first symptoms 18 hours (throughout the day) before going to the emergency room.

OK, I have to retract one little detail from my previous post...I can not lift 2 full cornies straight out up to shoulder height (I just tried it), but I am smarter than a 5th grader!! :D

I can, and do, lift a full primary or a cornie one-handed onto my countertop and carry two cornies out to the garage at the same time. :rockin:

Not to make you all sound like wimps, I do wear bifocals. I've been wearing glasses since I was 13 yo.

my wife knows I am coming from the sound of my knees crunching and creaking.

I am 33.

Haha, that made me think of myself. I am a young 22, but torn my MCL last fall. I can now tell when its rainy outside just from the pain in my knee!

I couldn't imagine ACTUALLY being old...:D :mug:

Been wearing the bifocals since 20, been on BP meds since 35, understand well the "snap, crackle, & pop." Insult to injury, lost an argument with a tree root while running on Thursday and now have an ankle the size of a grapefruit and the color of an over-ripe plum. It's making tonight's brew session a bit uncomfortable. So... I'll open another homebrew.

Oh, BTW, I had my glasses on while viewing the BA site. lol

Oh, and my wife just replayed something she recorded on her iphone. It was me snoring last night. Sounded like a damn warthog.

I am 34. Snap crackle pop in the knees...yeah. Life goes on. I used to snowboard and play soccer and volleyball along with working on my hot rods, now I pay. I love brewing, cooking, astronomy and reading now. The good thing about aging is that it MAKES you change your hobbies so you do not get bored....Or at least that is what I keep telling myself.

I may not be able to move any more when I get old, but I will have lots of good stories to tell as I sit in my rocking chair and tell the kids to stay the hell of my lawn.
