So I just finished worrying up a clone of hoptical illusion and was wondering if the dry hopping needed to be a week.

In general you wait till fermentation has stopped and then add your dry hops. Waiting for ferment to end prevents your hop aroma going out the air lock. A week on dry hops is average, 5-10 days is normal.

Yeah I was thinking of putting it in the corny after first week is done. I've got a cheese cloth that I was planning on using.

Dude where in Garden City? I am just finishing up a brew day near Warren and Middlebelt.

To answer your question I think 4 days is usually good for dry hopping.
