This year will be my first going to GABF. We love Colorado and of course beer too, so we are looking forward to the trip and festival. Does anyone have any past experience with the festival and recommendations on which session would be best?

I saw this on BA recently.

Thursday Night is for out of towners.
Friday Night is for the locals and college kids.
Saturday Afternoon is for the beer nerds.
Saturday night is for whoever was still standing.

Keep in mind, some of the popular breweries start running out of beer by Saturday.

Only thing I recommend is to go thirsty! I purchased tickets this morning for the Saturday member's session and can't wait to take a few days off from work for a little beer drinking!

Is one session enough to see everything, or would you guys that have been before, recommend doing more than one?

If you have the time and money to do more than one session, I definitely would. This year, there will be 600 breweries and there's no way on earth that you could do everything you wanted in 4 hours.

I thought I had covered my basis in one session and we almost sold our 2nd session tickets last year, ended up going for the 2nd session and realized I wish we had a 3rd... its endless! Also, Make yourself a snack necklace of pretzels, no need to stop for food that way!

Thanks. I bought the Sat afternoon and Sat evening session, do you think 2 sessions in one day is too much? Should I try to trade someone a Sat session for a friday session if I can find someone?

Thanks again.

Did the Fri and Sat night sessions. You could do 2 in the same day but IMO its better to start fresh each session, knock out the ones you want to savor with a sober palette and doing that on separate days gives you more chances.
